An evening of fundraising has raised thousands of pounds for charity.

The event on Friday, September 27, organised by Martin and Andy Tobin and their family and friends, featured a raffle, auction and musical entertainment at Andover Central Club.

A total of £6,600 was raised, with £5,000 going to Alzheimer's UK and £1,600 to Kidney Research UK.

"We would like to thank our family, friends and local businesses for their time, raffle prizes and auction lots.

"This event highlighted the generosity of our local community and we are grateful for everyone's help to raise such a great amount for two charities that are very close to our hearts."

The pair expressed gratitude towards those who provided musical entertainment.

They said: "We would also like to thank Jane Robinson, Shaun Bessant, and Nuno Presley for their very enjoyable musical entertainment and also thanks to the staff of the Central Club."
