Local businesses in Andover are being asked to come forward and showcase their goods at a new weekly market, to be launched next year.
The market will run at The Fairground Craft Centre in Weyhill, between 9am -1pm every Friday, starting from Friday, January 10 2025.
CW Events Hampshire is behind the idea. Claire Walker said: “Our mission is to champion the incredible small businesses, producers, and makers in Andover and surrounding areas, whether you’re picking up unique handmade crafts, freshly baked treats, or discovering new local produce, there will be something for everyone.”
The markets will be held indoors in the Village Hall, while some additional stalls will be hosted in the covered barn next to the Fairground Tea Rooms.
With free entry and parking Claire hopes the marketplace will become a must-visit spot for locals and visitors alike: “Look out for the bright yellow market signs that will be dotted around the local area to guide you in on market days.
"With the Fairground Tea Rooms on site, you can enjoy some delicious refreshments, and stock up on fabulous local finds in the market and the surrounding individual craft units of the Fairground.”

Claire added: “There’s no excuse not to come along and see what your local area has to offer, we can’t wait to see you there!”
