HERE is the latest from the courts:
A man who sold or offered to sell tobacco products has been fined.
Omed Mahmodi, 20, of Coventry, pleaded guilty to selling unmarked tobacco products and being in possession of unmarked tobacco products at 84A High Street on October 24.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court ordered for the forfeiture and destruction of the products and told him to pay £60 fine.

A man who assaulted an individual and two police officer in Andover has been fined.
Jolene Jervis, 38, of Barlow Lane, pleaded guilty to assaulting two emergency worker in London Street on February 18.
But he pleaded not guilty to beating a man on the same day.
An Aldershot Magistrates’ Court found him guilty of this assault.
He was ordered to pay £100 fine, £128 surcharge and £200 costs.

A man who had damaged a car tyre in Andover has been given a suspended sentence.
Robert Lax, 32, of Oxfordshire, pleaded guilty to having a knife in possession without good reason and damaging a tyre worth £150 in Andover on June 9.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court ordered him to pay £150 compensation and gave him a suspended sentence.
Lax got six months jail suspended for 12 months due to the seriousness of the offence. During this time, he should undertake 100 hours of unpaid work. The court also ordered for forfeiture and destruction of the knife.

An Andover drink driver has been disqualified.
Tony Humphrey, 77, of Lillywhite Crescent, pleaded guilty to driving a car on George Yard Car Park on July 2 when the proportion of alcohol in his blood was 83mg.
The legal limit is 35mg.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court ordered him to pay £623 fine and banned him from driving for 20 months. He will get a 20-week reduction in ban if he undertakes a course.

An Andover man who had a butcher knife in his possession and damaged a car tyre has been given a community order
Sylwester Bernacki, 37, of Suffolk Road, pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in a public place in Suffolk Road on July 19.
He also pleaded guilty to damage a car tyre on the same day.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court ordered him to undertake a rehabilitation activity for 30 days. He was also given a restraining order and he shouldn’t pester or molest the victim until November 13, 2026.
