A FAMILY-RUN condiment brand known for bringing the rich, aromatic taste of traditional adjika to UK kitchens is celebrating its one-year anniversary.

Over the past year, Andover-based Happy Adjika has not only delighted the palates of customers but also earned recognition and forged lasting connections within the local community.

It was set up by Tanya Suhova and Lana Suhova, who wanted to use the highest-quality ingredients to bottle a traditional recipe that has been passed down through generations of Georgian family cooks.

Adjika is a spicy blend of hot red chilli peppers, garlic, and spices that can be used in a variety of ways - as a condiment, marinade, seasoning, or dip.

Lana said: “It has been an incredible year of bringing the flavours of our family kitchen to kitchens across Hampshire.

"The biggest success for us has been to know from our customers that adjika has become a staple in their daily diet, and to hear their stories of how adjika is used in a variety of ways - it fills our hearts with joy.

"Over the next year we will continue expanding our product range with seasonal specials using local ingredients, and we look forward to working with some incredible chefs as well as select delis across the county.”

Since its launch, Happy Adjika has achieved significant milestones that mark a successful first chapter. The brand has partnered with select local delis and farm shops, ensuring its presence in key locations across Hampshire and Wiltshire.

Happy Adjika was also named one of the top five food producers in the prestigious Muddy Stiletto’s Hampshire & IOW awards.

Additionally, nutritionists have endorsed it as a top-quality natural product, and the brand is proud to be a member of Hampshire Fare, showcasing its commitment to local excellence.

Lana said that Happy Adjika continues to innovate by working with local growers and seasonal produce to develop new flavours.
