An additional £24,334.63 has been allocated to youth and wildlife community groups to fund projects aimed at deterring anti-social behaviour.
Speaking during ASB Awareness Week, Mr Malthouse said: "We are beginning to see funding make a difference on the ground in NW Hants, thanks to the strong partnership with Donna Jones, Hampshire police and our local authorities.
"Having uniformed patrols in hotspot areas not only deters crime but frees up police officer time so they can respond to emergencies.
"Here in Andover, they are making a difference in reducing shoplifting, vandalism and other petty crime, but I want to see more visible presence around our train station.
"I am also pleased that we have managed to secure funding for local youth engagement work.
"These programmes help young people to channel their energy into worthwhile activities, gain skills, and ultimately help them make the right choices that positively impact their community."
