AN AREA has been cordoned off by police after parts of a building seemingly fell off, with one organisation calling on landlords to ensure public safety.
Parts of the building, the downstairs of which is occupied by Ewe Cash, in Bridge Street, Andover, including masonry, have reportedly fallen off and smashed on the ground.
It happened yesterday, Monday, November 2, and as of this morning, November 3, the area has been taped off by police and scaffolding has been installed by workers to carry out repairs.

Andover Business Improvement District (BID) has spoken out about the importance of maintaining buildings.
A spokesperson for Andover BID said: "This incident shows how vital it is for landlords and managing agents to ensure buildings are well-maintained for public safety."
It is not known who the building belongs to.
The Advertiser has contacted Ewe Cash, Test Valley Borough Council and Hampshire Constabulary for a comment.
