THE council has provided an update on the fallen masonry incident in Bridge Street, confirming that the remaining loose material has been removed and urged the landlord to make repairs "as quickly as possible."
As previously reported, parts of a building in Bridge Street including masonry, fell off and smashed on the ground.
The building, the downstairs of which is occupied by Ewe Cash, was cordoned off and the road and footway were closed while repair work took place.
No injuries were reported, test Valley Borough Council has confirmed.

TVBC has also confirmed that any remaining loose material has been removed, allowing for the path and road to reopen.
The council also urged the building owner to make repairs "as quickly as possible."
A spokesperson for TVBC said: "We received reports on Monday (2 December) of fallen masonry outside the Ewe Cash shop in Bridge Street.
“Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it was necessary to close the road to protect public safety. We have been working with the agent for the building to tackle the immediate issues regarding the condition of the top section of the front of the premises.
"Scaffolding is now in place ready for the repair work and any remaining loose material has been removed, which means Hampshire County Council has been able to reopen the road and footway.
"While it is the owner's responsibility to maintain and repair their building, we have stressed the need for them to undertake the work as quickly as possible."
