ANDOVER resident Adam Lonsdale said his choice for sportsman of the year would be BMX rider Mark Webb.

He said that Webb, who comes from Portsmouth, broke his back earlier this year but has fought his way back into the saddle and won several competitions since.

Adam said: “I’m a big BMX fan, so he would definitely be my pick. He’s come back to win some of the big championships and he’s obviously really determined.”
