ANDOVER resident Brian Pond believes that a lot of people have misinterpreted the move by the Government.

“I think it’s mainly to help small businesses,” he said.

“If they have two-and-a-half per cent of their turnover less to pay to the Government, it can save their lives.

“I do think they have done the right thing.

“To us it might not seem like a big thing, but to a small business that has a turnover of a quarter of a million pounds, it’s a lot of money.”
