DRIVING instructor John Marshall from Andover believes the drop in VAT is just a way for the Government to get more votes.

“Mr Brown’s going to an-nounce another vote in June, you wait and see,” he said.

John added the only way it would really affect him would be with the petrol.

“It’s going to benefit some people, but you don’t get VAT on food anyway,” he said. “Luckily we have done all our Christmas shopping.”
