A TEAM of helpers from the sales department of local health provider HSA visited Andover Food Bank to put together food parcels for local people in need.
As well as putting the food parcels together – each containing three meals for three days – the group also varnished doors, re-arranged the stock room and sorted food into date order.
Caroline Drake-Lee, HSA’s sales manager, said: “Everyone thoroughly enjo-yed the day using the time to work together as a team and help our local community.”
“We’re extremely grateful for the help we have received from HSA,” said Trevor Sleath, Andover Food Bank’s project co-ordinator.
“When the Andover Food Bank first began two years ago we helped 498 people, this has now grown to over 1.500 people this year.
“It is therefore vital we have as much support as possible to fulfil the demand in local areas.”
