CHRISTMAS 2008 was extra special for Andover couple Dean and Stacy Hutchins when they welcomed their first baby into the family.

Olivia Eve was born on 25 December at 12.54pm in the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, weighing in at 7lbs 2ozs.

Stacy, from Topaz Drive, was due to give birth on 22 December so it was a bit of a waiting game for the new mum.

“I was due to be induced on New Year’s Eve so everyone was joking that I’d go into labour halfway through my Christmas Day dinner,” said the new mum.

“As it was I didn’t even get to tuck into my turkey but then food really was the last thing on my mind that day.

“We are so thrilled to have Olivia with us. She’s wonderful.”

New father Dean thought his daughter was the best Christmas present he’s ever received.

“I couldn’t ask for a better present, she’s just amazing,” he said.

Dean and Stacy didn’t know they were having a girl. “We just hope she won’t be angry she has her birthday on Christmas Day but I’m sure the two grannies will be more than happy to spoil her with presents,” added Stacy.
