A TEAM of eight staff from Lloyds TSB’s local Commercial Banking – including two from Andover – spent a day at Naomi House children’s hospice helping to decorate the house for Christmas.

The bankers were there as part of Lloyds TSB’s Bank an Hour scheme, which encourages all staff to support charities.

Using items paid for by the bank and some of its customers, the team created a very festive scene throughout the communal areas of the house.

A 12-foot tree, donated by Headlands Farm at Wellow, took pride of place in the main lounge.

Martin Parker and Chris Reilly, two of the bank’s three Andover-based business managers, said: “The day was a humbling experience and allowed us to appreciate that there are people who need support in our local community.

“Naomi House functions thanks to the huge level of care and dedication shown by its staff and volunteers, making a difference to others who are less fortunate than themselves.

“We are delighted that we could contribute to this over the festive season,” they added.
