POLICE are appealing for help after a man was robbed in a car park behind Sarum House in Winchester Road, Andover.
It happened between 12.45pm and 1pm last Sunday a local man, aged 19,was walking through the car park.
Three youths sitting on a bench asked him for a light. As the man took it out of his pocket he also pulled out £55 cash. The three youths punched the man several times in the face until he dropped the money. They took the money, lighter and a tobacco pouch and ran away.
During the attack the victim sustained cuts and bruises to his face. The youths are described as white, aged 18 to 21. One of the youths was wearing a red coloured hooded top, and another a bright, white coloured jacket. Anyone who may have seen the incident or saw the youths before or after the incident is asked to contact DC Luke Donovan at Andover police station on 0845 045 45 45, or call Crimestoppers, the charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
