AS the economy officially moves into recession Andover MP Sir George Young is urging people to shop locally, to minimise the impact of the recession on the town – and other towns in his constituency.
“It is not always possible to buy everything you need locally,” he said, “but there is a very wide range of shops in my North West Hants constituency. We can help the local economy by purchasing goods and services locally.”
Sir George says he used to buy his suits in London, but has switched to Grahams in Andover.
“Graham provides a high quality product at a very competitive price. If we buy locally, this will help local employment at a time when the forecasts are pessimistic.”
