David Essex has enjoyed a remarkable career embracing film, theatre and music.

Since his first international number one in 1973 he has written and recorded 23 top 30 hits in the UK.

He has also sold over 40 million records worldwide and made over 5,000 concert appearances and appeared successfully in two television series.

Film credits include Stardust, That’ll Be The Day and Silver Dream Racer and his theatre credits feature Evita, Aspects of Love, Godspell and Mutiny.

A musical based on his songs toured the UK from September 2008 until May this year, playing to record-breaking audiences.
