MUSICAL troubadour Patty Larkin is appearing in The Forge on 15 November at 7.30pm.
Patty has been redefining folk-pop music for more than 20 years with her inventive guitar wizardry and uncompromising lyrics.
Her new album Watch the Sky is her most ambitious to date and she wrote, produced and edited it all herself.
The result is an album of an artist in full stride, pushing the boundaries of what we have come to know as ‘folk’ music.
She began classical piano studies at the age of seven and became swept up in the sounds of pop and folk in the 1960s teaching herself the guitar and experimenting with songwriting.
Over her 10 CD history she has honed a reputation as a ‘musician’s musician’ working with some of the brightest talents in American music.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01256 844244 or online at www.anvilarts.org.uk
