for Overton HAMPSHIRE Premier League Overton United have had a mixed time with a 5-1 defeat at Hamble Club in the league and a fine win at New Street in the North Hants Senior Cup to set up a semi-final tie with Wessex Premier Division Whitchurch.
They were unable to enjoy the momentum as Saturday’s game with AFC Aldermaston in the Basingstoke Senior Cup did not take place.
Joint boss Jamie Fewtrell said of the Hamble game: “Overall the lads were terrific and deserved something.”
Overton’s Henry Salmon was sent off for a 50/50 challenge in the box allowing Hamble to make it 3-1 before half time.
Last week Overton demolished Andover New Street 5-1 in the North Hants Senior Cup.
After falling behind, Overton scored through Dave Parry (2), Chris Lavisher (2) and James Jupp.
