Andover Ladies II 5 Yateley II 0
ANDOVER won their final game before the Christmas break, defeating bottom of the league Yateley.
They tried a new system to tighten the defence and produce more attacking play and this appeared to work as within 18 minutes they were 3-0 up.
The first goal came from Sally Prior as she pounced to steer home a rebound after a shot from Jacqui West, with Louise Cuff and Alice Lord netting soon after Yateley came back into the game and Hazel Stacey made a string of fine saves to keep a clean sheet for the home side.
Midway through the second half Andover finally got back to into the game and it wasn't long before they extended their lead, Janette Griffith- Jones slotting home after a fine move.
Jodie Williams was Andover’s woman of the match as she defended stoutly as well as starting several attacking moves.
The rout was completed when a shot from Cuff was stopped on the line illegally and Georgia Cooke converted the penalty.
At the halfway point, the Ladies II are sixth with an impressive 18 points.
