The British Superbike championship gets underway this weekend at Silverstone.
Andover’s Jake Archer, who won the Moto3 class in 2018, has moved up to race a Moto2 machine in the British GP2 Cup.
Archer will ride for Peter Lucey (Team Kovara Projects), who is a leading specialist commercial roofing and cladding contractor and have been long term sponsor of Jake Archer.
Archer is now back to full fitness after injuring his collarbone in a pre-season training accident in Spain.
Following his return to Hampshire he underwent hyperbaric oxygen therapy to speed up his recovery and is looking forward to getting the first round started.
The GP2 Cup riders race with the Dickies British Supersport class but score points in their own championship.
The action starts on Friday for Archer with free practice session at 9.40am and 2.50pm.
On Saturday, qualifying is at 11am and sprint race (18 laps) is at 5.10pm.
On Sunday, the warm-up is at 9.52am and the feature race (26 laps) takes place at 3.40pm.
