THE Hampshire Football Association - in conjunction with the Sydenhams League Wessex - is planning to run a new competition.
It comes after all grassroots seasons below the National League were declared null and void following the results of the survey with all clubs.
The Hampshire Invitation Cup will be optional for all Hampshire based Southern League clubs and all clubs in the Sydenhams League (Wessex).
It is anticipated that the competition will start in the week after Easter and Phase one will comprise geographically based groups followed by a knockout stage.
It is appreciated that some grounds might become unavailable during the competition but flexibility will be shown to allow games to be played other than on a club’s home ground.
A further update on the Hampshire Invitation Cup and the details of it will be provided when there is more information.
