ANDOVER New Street’s preseason got back underway on Tuesday night with a 4-2 win over Overton United.
The Street had been due to play Salisbury and Moneyfields in the last week, but both games had to be postponed, for either covid or injury-related reasons.
The Salisbury game has now been rearranged for July 27.

After 20 minutes, Street make it 2-0 as Dave Gerrard pounced on a short header back to the Overton keeper to head home.
On 38 minutes, following a mix-up at the back, Overton took advantage with a free header from six yards out.
A minute before the break, Street re-doubled their lead on the counter attack. A fine pull back on the break found Mikey Davis, who powered home. Going into half-time at Foxcotte Park Street were 3-1 up.
One change at the break for Street, Pearson off and a trialist on.
Street made it 4-1 just before the 70 minute mark through Lloyd Thompson. Shane Lock broke down the left and his cross was hit into the corner by Thompson.
Overton pulled a goal back with the best effort of the night - a left winger broke on the left and cut into the box before a great strike that dipped just under the bar.
