ALTC Club Championships witnessed some thrilling matches as tennis veterans Jeremy Hann and Dan Demarco emerged victorious to go to the semi-finals at the club’s Balksbury Home.
The Veteran Singles match took place with Hann, Rob King and Mark Williams in a group of three. King was paired up with Williams in the opening match.
It was an exciting match as King played an adventurous attacking game, while Williams hit his passing shots with power and accuracy.

Williams used these shots to emerge victorious and faced Hann next.
The thrilling match saw Williams winning with his consistent play forcing Hann to spend time at the back of the court.
In the final game, Hann used lobs along with passing shots to wrap up the victory. He will play defending champion Al Williams in the semi-final.
In the second group, Tim Kelly, Reece Simpson, Richard Shipway and Dan De Marco played each other. The opening match between De Marco and Kelly was an entertaining thriller.
De Marco was able to get the edge and victory with his steady shot making.

The second game between Simpson and Shipway was a long match with a tie break set going to each of them. But a deciding championship tie break and the win went to Shipway.
This set up a match between De Marco and Shipway. The former cemented his position with an impressive performance using great shots. He will now face Martyn in the second semi-final.
