It was a real family affair for Andover’s director of rugby Andy Waite in Jersey last weekend, as all four of his sons played in the same team together for the very first time.
Andy’s all four sons – Tom (33), Charlie (25), Fin (23) and Bryn (20) – have played first team rugby regularly since the youngest Bryn, became age-qualified three years ago.
But injury and unavailability meant they had never been available together to play in any of the club's teams, let alone the first team.
However, the four brothers were fit and ready to appear for Andover as they travelled to high-flying Jersey.
Although Andover were defeated, they displayed a valiant performance against in-form Jersey team.
