A spokesperson for Test Valley Borough Council, said: “Since being made aware of the issues with the ceiling, the council’s building control team has visited the site to inspect the pavilion.
“The cricket club is responsible for the repairs and they have already employed a builder to undertake the work. Following our visit, we are satisfied that there is no further input required from the council as they have closed the building to the public, though we have asked the club to put some additional signage in place to make this clear.
“Hopefully they will be able to complete the work quickly and the club will be able to reopen the pavilion soon.”
A spokesperson for Andover cricket club did not provide a comment.
