RUNNERS will soon be able to lace up their shoes and run on a popular race circuit as the Thruxton 10k Series kicks off later this month.
An all-new series of fast-paced, flat and completely safe 10k events taking place over three Tuesday evenings; May 23, June 20 and July 18 at the legendary Thruxton Motor Racing Circuit.
The course, officially measured by Run Britain, offers a relaxed community environment with beautiful views of Church and Goodwood to enjoy, so whether you’re a hard racer or want to put your running shoes on for the first time, there is something for everyone.
The start is approximately 1,500m from the registration area and the finish is in the pitlane of the race track, 10k will see you complete two and a bit laps of the track with a water station near the finish line so is available twice in the race.
To finish the race you will run into the pit lane and under the arch where the event team will meet you with congratulations and your exclusive Thruxton 10k medal.
If personal bests and competition is what you are after however, following each race, you will be awarded series points based on your finishing position and at the end of race three, Eventrex, the organisers of the series, will have a prize presentation to celebrate the first ever Thruxton 10k Series Champions.
In addition, there will be spot prizes awarded at the presentation so if you’re not lucky enough to be on the podium, it doesn’t mean you’re out of the race - there are still prizes to be won and celebrations to be had.
