A NETBALL club in Andover has celebrated receiving a donation of over £1,000 from a sports trust.
Gemini Netball Club is a junior community club based in Andover, whose ethos is around having fun and igniting the netball bug at an early age.
The club has received a donation of £1,083 from The Jamie G Sporting Trust during a training session on Monday, September 18.

This was a third donation from the trust, which brings sporting opportunities to young people in the Andover area and was set up in memory of Jamie Gentleman, a young Andover sportsman who died just days before his 14th birthday. A trust was set up in his memory in 2009.
Jacqui Gentleman and Adam Knight, who are both trust committee members, were delighted to present the cheque to the U11-U15 groups who will benefit from using the equipment in training and matches.
Jacqui said: "The array of bright yellow luminated the hall at Andover Leisure Centre where the club trains weekly.

"It was so lovely to speak with the juniors, expressing their love and joy of the sport. The trust has seen the growth of juniors joining this club over the years, and long may this continue"
Gemini head coach, Chrissy Bannerman, said: "We are proud and grateful to link with The Jamie G Sporting Trust.
"The trust has supported us from our launch in 2020 and continues to allow us to provide opportunities for local children as we expand to four match squads this season."
