In the day's eyebrow-raising matches, Burridge were brought down by a strong performance from Bashley (Ryal), who overcame another wicket-keeping injury to triumph with a 46-run victory.

The latter team racked up 166 runs, with Wilson and J Gordon contributing 42 and 41 runs respectively, while White excelled with his bowling, capturing 4-20.

Burridge only managed 120 runs in return, with Goles being the saving grace with an unbeaten 72.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, former unbeaten Hampshire Academy was dethroned by Bournemouth, relinquishing their top position to South Wilts.

Bournemouth secured 189 runs where Freak, Smith, and Guirdham made 35, 29, and 21 runs respectively.

Despite a decent effort from Mayes and MacEwen, Hampshire Academy fell short by 49 runs.

New SPL1 leaders, Portsmouth, were stung by Hook Newnham Basics who hit a strong 298-7.

Their opener, Sam Lockwood is now one of the three divisional century makers following his impressive 102-run performance.

Portsmouth could only muster up 216 runs, resulting in an 82-run win for Hook Newnham Basics.

In other SPL1 news, Langley Manor succumbed to Portsmouth & Southsea, which saw Hambledon ascending to the top of SPL2.

A match of interest was Gosport Borough and Sway, ending in a tense tie.

Switching focus to SPL3, Parley defeated Fawley to take the top spot.

They amassed a healthy 241-8 with Braggington and Morris notable contributors with 60 and 56 runs respectively.

Fawley managed only 112, supplying Parley with a commanding 129-run victory.

Still, in SPL3, Havant seconds secured a win against Fareham & Crofton in the basement battle six-pointer.

Fareham & Crofton fell short with 227-5, despite commendable efforts from Kent and Jeffery who contributed 75 and 42 runs respectively.

Havant responded with 228-4, with standout performances from Galliers and Ransley who made 68 and 59 runs - leading the side to a six-wicket win.
