THREE Hampshire based drivers made significant progress at the latest KwikFit British Touring Car Championship event over the weekend.
Racing on the Oulton Park 2.26 mile Island circuit, all three drivers were behind the wheels of identical 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport cars in the high-speed Porsche Sprint Challenge GB championship.
Sebastian Hopkins, member of Team Parker Racing, secured top position in the first race, came second in the second race but did not finish the third.

Matthew Kyle-Henney of Clean Racing had a mixed performance, recording fourth, ninth and eleventh place finishes respectively.
Edward Stanton, steering his Toro Verde GT Porsche, steadily scooped points with ninth, eight and sixth place finishes respectively.
These three enthusiasts in heated automotive competitions will next face each other after the summer break, at the Croft Circuit, on July 27 and July 28.
Elsewhere in the Vertu Mini Challenge, Salisbury-based driver Matt Hammond secured two class wins.
Hammond, driving his Excelr8 Motorsport Mini F56 JCW 3 door Hatch Car, emerged victorious in both his 20-minute races.
