STREETS Ahead adult football team took home a victory on penalties after a thrilling 0-0 match against Hamble Yellow in the Hamble Club Tournament – Adult PAN Disability.
The teams had battled through the stages to reach the final match. Dominating most of the game, Streets Ahead, however, was unable to score a goal. Likewise, Hamble Yellow faced the same fate.
The excellent goalkeeping from both teams maintained a 0-0 draw at the final whistle.
Ultimately, Streets Ahead emerged victorious, beating Hamble Yellow 4-2 in the penalty shootout following the goalless tie.
Manager Dan Matthews said: "So proud of everyone, they fought hard in all their games and their hard work paid off. It’s been a fantastic afternoon with all the teams showing the utmost respect for their opponents. I’m so pleased for my boys they totally deserved this today."
