A major event for the truck community took place at the Thruxton Circuit over the weekend.
The "Convoy on the Plain" event drew a large crowd to witness high-speed truck racing on the 2.35-mile track, featuring vehicles weighing upwards of five tonnes and boasting more than 1,000 horsepower.
Ryan Smith, from Mansfield, emerged as the star of the show, winning all five races of the British Truck Racing Championship, driving his Daimier Freightliner.
Local enthusiasts showed keen interest in Russell Smith of Red Post Services (Andover) Ltd, who competed in the Pickup Truck Races.
Mr Smith finished 11th twice before not finishing his third race.
In the Junior Saloon Car Championship, a Salisbury-based driver completed three races in his Citroen Saxo VTR, finishing seventh, fourth and fifth respectively.
Meanwhile, Andover's Don Gillies finished sixth and eighth in the OT Publishing Coupe Cup with Toyo Tires races, driving his Hyundai Coupe.
