Andover Triathlon Club held their annual sprint Triathlon championships at a local event hosted by Team Kennet in which 10 club members participated.
The event which took place at the Northcroft Leisure Centre in Newbury attracted more than 200 competitors.
It consisted of a 300m swim in the centre’s new outdoor 50m pool, followed by a 20km bike leg through the country roads of Newbury and finished with a 5km run along side the canal and through the Speen moors.
Laura Hodgson took the female title for the club in a time of 1.17.30 while Toby Ledger brought it home for the male category in an outstanding time of 1.13.39.
Laura said: “This was my second time doing this event but the first time in the newly refurbished lido which was great!
"I survived the swim, had a strong bike, and then my legs fell off for the run but overall had a good race and am pleased with my performance.
"All in all it was a great day out surrounded by other club members who raced or turned out to support including head coach Dan Mason.”
