The final ranking points for the 2009 Transplus Classic were won at the Ali MacDonald Singles and the final Invitation League matches.

The sixth Andover Invitation Darts Transplus Classic is set for Saturday April 11 at the Entertainer and for those who missed out on automatic qualification there are eight more places to be won at two qualifiers set for February 14 and 21.
The Unicorn Darts Youth Academy enjoyed a spectacular evening at the World Championships over Christmas, taking in second round matches involving Mark Dudbridge, Phil Taylor and Wayne Mardle.
All three Englishmen won their ties with 33 maximums in a carnival atmosphere. The party were also treated to a ‘behind the scenes tour’ conducted by former world master Rod Harrington, now of the PDC.
The year’s programme started again this week with membership reaching 104 since its inception. Amanda Paine, Aimee Edmonds, Connor Bestford, Oil Burgess, Rhys Morgan and Jordan Edmonds have been promoted to the seniors. New junior captains are Amy Thorne and Connor Samways, and in the seniors Christine Pike (ladies), Sean White (men’s A) and Gavin Howard (men’s B) have received this year’s honours.
England retained the Hampshire Executive Cars trophy in the annual fixture between England and Scotland at the Entertainer on December 30. With both sides in festive spirit England took an early lead in the Fours then won five consecutive pairs matches and from that point they were never headed. Scotland rallied to take six of the ten singles to bring the final score to 10-7.
The Colin Monk Classic ranking singles takes place at the Entertainer tomorrow and is the third successive event to sell out.
Players are reminded to register by 11.30am latest, toeing the oche at 12.30. The competition is again sponsored by Paul Parry’s Hampshire Executive Cars, a long time sponsor of the Classic, with more than £500 in prize money to be won. Paul Gibbs and Gary Scratchley are previous winners and a quality field is lined up to honour Andover’s most successful ever dart player.
