The Winter League round five top of the table clash ended in an emphatic 7-2 win for the Queen Charlotte over the previously unbeaten Southampton Arms C.
Swallows Best are the Charlotte’s nearest rivals, 11 points behind already after a good win against bottom of the table Central FD. The gap between the top and bottom five teams is being to show, although teams do not have to worry about play-offs anymore.
Magic Roundabout had an excellent 7 -2 win against the fading Anton Decs and already look a good bet for promotion. The team has Premiership experience and would hold their own in the higher league. The chase behind them is hotting up, with Wolversdene Bandits beating Central Crusaders 6-3 and New Street beating QC Underdogs by the same score.
Division Two sees the Borough Cudas well in charge although an 8-1 win by the Chestnuts reduced the gap at the top. Crown Ludgershall were surprisingly beaten 6-3 by Ploughin Out.
Railway Club A and Master Station are in top spots in Division Three. Ploughin On had a surprise 5-4 loss to the Eagle Leftovers, although as of Sunday night’s deadline time, no result had been received from the match which involved Forester Faithfulls and Merlin Young Guns.
The top four in Division Four all had good wins. Central Stampheads, a newly-formed team had a commendable but close 5-4 win over the ladies’ Central Chicks.
