Arron Monks enjoyed his best PDC outing to date this weekend at Doncaster as he defeated 2009 World Championship contenders Michael Van Gerwen and Tony Ayres among others on his way to the last 32, before losing 6-3 to Peter Manley.

l The third Colin Monk Singles, sponsored by Paul Parry’s Hampshire Executive Cars, was won by Paul Cook who claimed his second successive ranking victory as he prepares to defend his Transplus Classic title.
Even with several regulars away on PDC duty this was the third consecutive event to sell out at the Entertainer as the year builds towards the sixth Classic on April 11.
