After round six in the Andover Pool League there are only three teams left in the divisions with 100 per cent records, Magic Roundabout, Railway Club A and Lardi Smash Um Ups.

The Premiership has been thrown wide open by the Swallows Best 6-3 win over the all conquering and previously unbeaten Queen Charlotte. It is rare that the Charlotte lose and it just creates a bit more competition and interest. Excellent wins for the Southampton Arms A and C teams, The Anton A and the QCCs keep all these clubs towards the top end of the table. The Southampton B side with their new addition of John Herredge remain in a surprisingly low position of second from bottom, but expect this to change in the coming weeks.

In Division One the Magic Roundabout remain unbeaten with a superb 7-2 win over Railway Tavern, whose inclusion of Ian Hares transferred over from the Swallows Best could not stop the rot. 5-4 wins for both the Wolversdene Bandits and Central Crusaders keeps them both in contention, with New Street falling away with a loss against Anton Decs.

The shock in Division Two came with the Borough Cudas losing their 100 per cent record to the unpredictable Central Wanderers team, leaving the Chestnuts to storm to the top with a win against the Crown. Wooly B52s helped both the top sides with an excellent 6-3 win against third-placed Ploughin Out.

Railway Club A are firmly in control of Division 3 and their position has been strengthened with losses for the Master Station and Merlin Young Guns. Division Five sees Lardi Smash Um Ups on top.

Once again winning captains are reminded that the result cards should be received at the Southampton Arms by no later than 10.30pm on the Sunday night following the games played on Thursday. This week teams involved in four separate matches have not carried out this simple instruction and points will be deducted.
