I WOULD like to thank two absolute heroes who risked their lives to pull me out of my car (which had caught fire underneath) at the traffic lights at Western Approach on Tuesday, 2 December.
Alan Appleby alerted the fire service, and a taxi driver used his small fire extinguisher to douse the fire.
Also a big thank you to Alex, the landlord of the Station Inn, who used a larger fire extinguisher, when smoke was seeping from the engine.
I cannot thank the three of them enough.
I would also like to thank Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, the police and everyone who showed concern.
There are a lot of kind and caring people in this world.
Irene Watts, Andover
