OUR mum read out the letters to us from the Andover Advertiser over the last two weeks about cats messing in gardens.

We must admit it is not very nice to have cats doing their ‘business’ there.

Do we see humans clenching their buttocks together to get home to use their toilets? No you don’t!

We cannot help having a natural need to go to the toilet.

Yes, some of us do have a nice, clean litter tray at home, but sometimes it is too far.

You cannot blame our human mums and dads for our behaviour and let alone think about punishing them. Our doggy brothers and sisters are a little different.

A responsible parent will pick up the ‘mess’. My mum has offered to clear up after us if we use the neighbour’s garden. I think that is being a responsible parent.

Have these non-animal lovers considered the indignity of being on a lead to go to the toilet, especially a feline? We have wanderlust about us.

I sometimes think whether some humans have not got anything better to do than moan.

Take a look at your own disgusting habits before condoning us, such as leaving broken glass, litter and festering vomit on pavements.

Please, just stop and think how we feel, are our feelings not important?

We are being victimised for a normal bodily function.
