I WAS delighted to see my letter regarding the language of debate, especially the fluoride debate, used.
However, it seems a line was skipped in setting the letter, which altered the meaning of the text.
It should have read: Natural fluoride is calcium fluoride. The added fluoride is hexafluorosilic acid. The first is approved for medical use. The second is not.
Neither is it the fluoride used for most long-fluoridated areas (That was sodium fluoride, another medically approved one.) Margaret Reichlin, MacCallum Road, Upper Enham.
