I HAD to read the report in last week’s edition of our paper at least a couple of times to make certain I was not dreaming.
So, OK, Hampshire are employing lesbian, gay and bisexual staff, so what.
Most other employers are doing the same whether they realise it or not.
For a senior officer to use words such as ‘honoured’ and ‘fantastic’ make my toes curl.
I should not be at all surprised if these particular staff are rather more than just embarrassed by such publicity.
I wish to make it clear that I have been married just short of 40 years with three grown up children and accept there are people of a different persuasion to myself.
Just let them get on with their lives, providing they do not frighten the horses of course!
As for Chief Constable Alex Marshall, I trust he puts the same ‘huge effort’ into keeping our streets free from crime.
