I READ the comment from Claire Williams of Southampton, about Councillor Warwick Payne’s contact number being that of a mobile phone when he was protesting about the proposed mobile phone mast.
She accuses him of being a hypocrite. While he can choose whether he uses a mobile phone or not, people living near masts have no choice as to whether to be exposed to microwave radiation.
There is a lot of research now published that is causing us to question whether our health can be badly affected by mobile phone mast radiation.
I think people living near them should have the right to be heard and to force telecommunication companies to keep the radiation as low as possible, if they have to put them up at all.
After all children and other vulnerable members of society could be living nearby.
