THIS is the time of year when we try to make space in the attic, tidy up the garden shed and ask ourselves “Do we really need to keep that anymore”?
Please, if you have any reports, badges, uniforms or anything of past Scouting that you have done, or members of your family have achieved, please do not throw them out but give us a call instead.
From time to time we are asked to do displays around Hampshire and we are always surprised by the interest shown by the general public and the young people when they see what granddad and grandma did and how they enjoyed the broad, similar challenges that today’s Scouting offers.
Over the last year, a vast amount of memorabilia has been found in attics, old cardboard boxes lying around and also when carrying out the unfortunate task of clearing a deceased relative’s home.
Hampshire Scouting is urging everybody to search out their attics and if anything connected with Scouting comes to light that is no longer required then please call Hampshire Scout Heritage Project on 02380 847847.
Somebody will gladly come and collect your donations or tell you where to send them.
