Just to thank everyone that organised the lighting of the beacon at Shipton Bellinger. There was a nice lot of people that came to support us.
Then there was the terrific picnic on the Sunday at the Shipton Leisure field. Thanks to those that supplied the Pimms and beer, and to Sue Turner or wonder woman as she is known as, she does so much good work.
There were so many children that came and took part and even asked if they could organise some events for all of the children. This is wonderful as this means there will be more people to organise events in the future, thank you to those children, you give us hope for future generations to come.
The quiz night went well at the working men’s club, I didn’t attend but heard all of the great comments about this event. The Coronation was spectacular as always and we wish our new King and Queen all the best for the future.
God bless our new King and Queen and their families.
God bless all of you at our local newspaper, and thank you so much for all the write ups that you put in for us.
I have had permission to report this.
