Thank you so much for featuring the Ludgershall Christmas Light switch-on and Christmas Fair in the Andover Advertiser.
Our thanks also to Ludgershall Town Council and the admin staff for organising both events and to The Memorial Hall and Ludgershall Sports and Social Club for hosting both events.
We are very fortunate to have these venues in the town. Our thanks to our local radio volunteer-led station Castledown FM and the children from Wellington Eagles Choir who provided the entertainment.
Charities, businesses, St James' Church and a face painter were also present.
A big thank you also to the dedicated volunteers who supported the town council in setting up and helping at both events.
I received a letter from Santa who I have known for many years and met in person many times. He wrote, that he and his elves were very honoured to have been invited to switch on the lights with the mayor Owen White and he also enjoyed his time at the Christmas Fair in his grotto handing out presents to the children and having his photo taken with the families and children.
Ludgershall Town Council has been very busy throughout the past year providing help and support to the community and they have also helped other groups in the community with grants.
The community have also given great support by turning out in large numbers.
Well done Ludgershall Town Council and once again a big thank you to the Andover Advertiser for featuring both events.
Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
