The news of another bank closure is not a surprise.
The branch of Barclays Bank in Andover will be closing soon leaving many customers unable to access their accounts in person.
Not everyone wants to or is able to carry out online banking.
Banks were our financial institutions and I worked for Barclays Bank when I left school.
Times have changed but I believe some things should remain. Access to cash is important even in a world of contactless payments.
The Post Office offers you that cash service and many other banking aspects. Face to face at every Post Office you can withdraw cash, pay monies in - both personal and business, check your balance and pay your bills. At our Shop & Post Office at Enham Alamein we can help 7 days a week and provide that personal service too.
I said many years ago that the Post Office would be the bank of the future and I am glad we can be of service.
