Is Andover striving to get in the charts as the worst place to live? It seems so.
The new masterplan to put The Lights theatre in the precinct instead of encouraging retailers, the closures of our banks is a certain way to achieve a “worst place to live” title.
If shoppers, especially men, want clothes it is a trip to Basingstoke, Newbury or Salisbury. If we want to visit our bank we now have to go out of town.

Yes I know you can do those visits to the Post Office, but due to some lack of foresight that has been moved into the back of WHSmith. Highly unsuitable.
In fact, apart from food, many other items require a trip out of town. I have lived in Andover for over 70 years and my synopsis is that Andover is an easy place to get away from.
