I’m writing to convey my disappointment at the change of the bus service offering from Stagecoach to our town.
I have found myself stranded in pouring rain waiting for a bus on New Street only for it to pass me by with a notice displayed saying ‘sorry full up’.
I have witnessed mothers with pushchairs being turned away as there is limited room for them.
My granddaughter regularly catches the college bus to Winchester to find that her return journey is a single-decker bus and all seats and standing room are taken, so again left behind stranded.
Not a great service when a bus pass for a year is almost £900.
This is without mentioning the buses that are regularly cancelled without notice and routes in town discontinued.
Did you know that if you want to get to Andover War Memorial Hospital there is only one bus per hour?
How are the people of Andover supposed to trust the service if the service isn’t fit for purpose?
Mr J Willis
